Tuliptree leaf.

Tuliptree is a tall tree with a very distinctive leaf shape. Other common names for this tree include Tulip Poplar and Yellow Poplar. In the spring it has beautiful, yellow tulip like flowers on it. It is a fast growing tree that can reach 15 to 20 feet in 6-8 years. It is also native to much of the eastern US.

Tuliptree is a Host Plant for Tiger Swallowtails

Tiger Swallowtails use Tuliptrees as one of their favorite host plants, but they use many others too, mostly in the Magnolia family such as Sweet Bay Magnolias, and also Hop Trees.
