I keep them in jars used for canning with a piece of mosquito netting instead of the flat lid part on top.  I'll post some pictures.

I used to have an enclosure outside, which was much bigger, that I kept them in, but it kind of fell apart after a while and my husband hasn't had time to build me another yet.  

Your site looks very nice - I'll have to look through it more closely!</description>

		<description>Where did you keep your chrysalises over the winter?  I had about a dozen Black Swallowtails form chrysalises last fall and I put them all outside (I was afraid they would emerge too early if I didn't).  Unfortunately, all but one disappeared without a trace.  I am hoping the last one will hold off for a few more weeks when I do a program on butterflies for a local park.

PS my new website has lots of photos, including many of butterflies.</description>
