Hanna - Its fun raising butterflies! I think the caterpillars are so cute! You're in Ohio? You should be able to get pretty much the same butterflies there as I do here. Easy ones to attract for me are Black Swallowtails and Monarchs - Spicebush Swallowtails aren't too hard either, and are really cool!

Dana - I'm glad you're having fun with it! Isn't it interesting how when you learn about something the more interesting it becomes? Before I was doing this I didn't really notice that much about different butterfly species - now I can recognize many different ones easily, can spot a female quickly and all sorts of stuff. I wonder how many other things in the world I'm missing because I just never stopped to notice before?

Hey, I just found your blog. It's great! Wow, how cool is that to collect butterfly eggs?!? I had never thought of that before. I might have to give it a try.
