Been pretty cloudy again today, not too many butterflies around. I did see a Hackberry butterfly on a rotting banana, and I got a picture of it! Also, a Monarch was just flying right outside my office window, likely laying yet more eggs.
It ended up raining really hard, the plants needed it! Afterward I saw a Monarch and Pearl Crescent flying around and another Hackberry on a banana.
I got some pictures back today. On the August 9th entry I added the pictures of the preying mantis eating the Monarch . Also, the pictures of the big yellow caterpillar and its crysalis were added.
